AngryFireChozo is a hack that started when I accidentally created some glitched physics. As I was playing around with them, I realized there were many potential applications for puzzles and glitches. I wanted an outlet for level design while my main project was stopped by a bunch of graphics work, and so I started on what would become AngryFireChozo.

I may look for a beta-tester relatively soon, when I find out just how my adjustments to boostball did what they did to... everything. As it is, the hack plays very slowly because Samus jumps and falls at incredibly low speed unless in morph ball. I'm looking to speed it up some, but still keep the core of the physics change that puzzles are designed around.

Progress UPDATE 1:

ASM: 100ish% (Just the timer left really, but I dont' know if that will be looking proper in just a few days)
Level design: ???/600 or ??%. I quit counting a while ago and I wouldn't be surprised if I've already made my goal.

100% is possible, unless I messed up in my list and put an extra PLM in somewhere.

Still coming May 5th

I suggest on making all the yellow/red colors in the BG in the first pic a bit darker. It will make your eyes hurt less!

second pic is... I dunno. I never really liked tileset 3/4.
third pic: multi layer, interesting, and non-mindfucking! I like!

and I definitely can't want to see what new physics you have in store for us. last new set of physics we got was in '06 :[

They take quite a bit of getting used to... Anyway, it's been six days since I started, and I've just hit the 100 screen mark. If production keeps up, I'm hoping for it to be at least half the size of the original SM by release next month.

Wahahah! I love the Samus statue in the second to last screenie. Looks a bit... unnatural, being full color; like it's a precognition of what's coming. Second from top, that water effect makes the red atmosphere look so damn trippy. The third from top is quite scary looking too; how did the background manage to hijack the foreground and make it look like a dream? ō_ô

Crap, man. Those new palettes are trippy and intense, especially that Norfair room with the glowing shrooms. I've done a little bit of palette editing and it turned out okay, but this is just superb. Between this and Eris, that's two hacks I'm gonna be the first in line to play when they release.

I'm with Zhs2 here. What's going on in that picture third-from-the-top? Probably something we'd have to see in motion because a still makes it look kind of confusing - but nonetheless badass.

Had an excellent day today, 81 screens and a boss placed. It's extremely difficult to keep up this pace, but I'll try my best. As it is currently, I think 8 minutes would make a good time to set the escape at. If things keep up, 20 minutes will be a rather tight time.

Still absolutely planning on a May 5th release. (Even if that means 11:59 EST :P)

Sweet, this was a great game, and thanks for letting us host it on MetroidConstruction, also I did it in 1:01 and had a percent of 29%.

A very well done hack and I hope to see more hacks soon!
